php5-mapscript software package provides php5-cgi module for MapServer, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install php5-mapscript
php5-mapscript is installed in your system.
Make ensure the php5-mapscript package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep php5-mapscript *
You will get with php5-mapscript package name, version, architecture and description in a table
